Albion are looking to extend the loan of Arsenal youngster Joe O’Cearuill for another month.

The center back missed the 1-1 draw with Crewe while he was playing in a tournament for the Republic of Ireland under-21s, but he should sign for another month in time to be involved in Saturday’s trip to Blackpool.

Since joining from Arsenal in January O’Cearuill has made 6 starts and two substitute appearance mostly at right back although his favour position is center back.  

Albion manager Dean Wilkins has also confirmed in the Argus he is continuing his search for other signings: “I think we would be foolish to actually stop looking,” he said.

“You could bring somebody in on loan which ends up being a permanent deal.”
