Revell to make supprise early return

Albion striker Alex Revell looks set to make a shock return from injury next week as the Seagulls take on Nottingham Forest at the Withdean stadium.

Revell was not expected to return until at April after suffering an ankle ligament damage in a traning ground accident involving young goalkeeper John Sullivan, but his treatment appears to have gone better than expected.

The former Braintree Town striker told the Argus: “Things have gone better than we could ever have hoped. I’ve worked really hard this week and Tuesday will be my first session back in full training.

“The specialist told me I’d be out for between ten and 12 weeks. It will be four weeks on Tuesday so luckily for me I am obviously a quick healer.

“I want to be back for Forest. I have been doing a lot of fitness work and now it is just a matter of getting confident again and knowing it is not going to happen again.”

Loan signing Dean Bowditch could also return next Saturday from Ipswich Town.
