Albion into Cup Final

Posted in News | By Wilka

Albion reserves are through to the final of the Sussex Senior Cup after beating Bognor Regis on penalties in last night’s semi final at Woodside Road Worthing.

The Seagulls second string will now face either Worthing or Lewes in the final.

The game itself finished 1-1 with French Winger Alex Frutos opened the scoring for the Seagulls in the first half before former Albion left back Stuart Tuck levelled the scores late on.

Michel Kuipers made the vital break through in the penalty shout out to save Dan Beck’s sudden death spot-kick.

Albion Reserves: Kuipers; P. Hinshelwood, Bakayogo (sub Cobbs 105), Breach, Elphick, Rents, Hart, Loft (sub Martin 92), Elder (sub Gargan 69), Gatting, Frutos. Subs not used: Sullivan, Skinner.
