Albion have today signed Crystal Palace goalkeeper Scott Flinders on a month’s loan to provide cover for the injured Michel Kuipers. The former England Under-21 keeper is expected to make his Albion debut in tonight’s game with Gillingham.

Speaking to Seagulls.co.uk Albion boss Dean Wilkins said: “Scott was very keen to come and help us out and play some games for us, and the reports we have had about him are encouraging.”

With Michel Kuipers expected to miss tonight’s game and Saturday’s visit of Bristol City it is important Flinders settles in well.

So far this season Flinders has already had a taste of League One action with tonight’s opposition Gillingham along with a handful of appearance in the Championship with Palace.
