Albion sign Rehman for 3rd time
Posted in News | By WilkaAlbion have today completed the loan signing of Zesh Rehman on a months loan with the option to extend the loan for the rest of the season. The defender will be linking up with the Seagulls for his 3rd loan spell at the club.
Rehman had previously signed for the Albion from Fulham in September 2003 under Steve Coppell’s management and returned after his initial one month later in the season with Mark McGhee in charge.
Rehman who’s preferred position is center back played most of his games at the Albion in midfield scoring twice in 11 starts.
Zesh signed from Premiership Fulham in the summer to struggling QPR for an undisclosed fee and has also spent a loan spell with Norwich City while with the Premiership club.
QPR manager John Gregory told the official QPR website: “Zesh has still got two more years on his contract here, but it’s in his and the Club’s best interests that he goes out on loan to play some competitive football.
“He’s a great professional and he’s still very much our player. Going to Brighton presents him with an ideal opportunity to get his confidence back.”
Zesh will link up with his new teammates tomorrow in time to play against Huddersfield Town at Withdean on Saturday if selected.
