Albion are interested in re-signing slow, but good winger Darren Currie from Ipswich Town along with former loan signing Dean Bowditch.

The Seagulls have made an enquiry about Currie and Bowditch, but Dean Wilkins isn’t the only manager sniffing around the players with Millwall also reportedly interested in Currie along with some other unnamed clubs.

Currie said: “There has been a bit of interest from Brighton and a couple of other clubs.

“I think there has been contact and they have spoken to Ipswich but I haven’t spoken with Brighton about anything so I am just waiting to hear. I am pretty much in limbo.

“I am just training and trying to get back in. I am getting a bit frustrated with it all.

“Ipswich are trying to let me fix myself up and get away in January. I want to stay in the Championship but, if I have to drop out, I would not have a problem coming back to Brighton. It is somewhere I enjoyed and it is nice to feel wanted.”

Ipswich town manager Jim Magilton told the official Ipswich Town site: ”Brighton have made an enquiry about Darren and Dean but it’s been no more than that at this stage.

“Millwall have also asked about Darren but again, that’s as far as it has gone.”

As yet the Seagulls have not commented on the story, but Dean Wilkins is targeting 4 new signing’s before the transfer windows closes on Wednesday evening.

Another rumour circulation around the Withdean Stadium is the Wilkins is looking to bring in out of favour Hull City striker Nicky Forster.
