Wayne Henderson hands in transfer request

Ireland international goalkeeper Wayne Henderson has once again asked for a transfer away from the Seagulls after losing his first team place to Michel Kuipers.
Henderson also handed in a transfer request earlier in the season when he was out of the team which Albion manager Dean Wilkins rejected.
The former Aston Villa keeper believes his international chances will be hit if he isn’t playing regular first team football and following two straight clean sheets in the league since the return of Michel Kuipers a first team return for Henderson looks unlikely.
Henderson, who was set to line up for the Albion reserves tonight as they take on Hassocks in the Sussex Senior Cup, could be replacing the likes of Hassocks Beacon ground for the international stage next week as Ireland number one Shay Given has pulled out of the squad due to injury as they take on San Marino.
Hendo has never really won over some sections of the Albion crowd who believe Michel Kuipers is the better of the two keepers and will be hoping Dean Wilkins doesn’t stand in his way again as he looks to leave the Withdean Stadium.
